Tapestry based on my artwork

I worked on an amazing project that resulted in the creation of a tapestry based on one of my paintings of music. The tapestry was woven by a group of women artists in Morocco who are developing their own business to improve life in their local communities. I coordinated with international community organizer Abderrahmane Amajou to create and share this stunning woven artwork. These images document how I went from a painting of music to a tapestry pattern, and the production of the tapestry in the community where the women dye the wool and weave. It takes careful work on many different levels to ultimately produce one.
